Staxus Gossip: Do we have a new hot UK performer?

It’s been quite a while since we had some Staxus Gossip on the blog, but I had an email today from my “mole” in the office who was eager to tell me about a new model they potentially have lined up to appear in some scenes in the future.

Staxus Gossip: The Forum

I knew this time would come. I knew I would have to confront the issue and tell all of you a little about what’s going on with the site and some of the changes that are coming our way in the coming months. I can’t tell you everything I know (and I don’t know half of it) but I can update you all a little.

First of all, the Forum was only going to be down for a little while, but having looked at things a little it became clear that another larger plan was possible, something that would improve the site much more and give all the fans a lot more opportunity to interact and be more social. It’s hard to explain, but when the forum was taken down temporarily something else came to light that would give all the members something better, so the Staxus team is working on that right now.

This is much larger than just a slight redesign of the forum, and it’s something that I am definitely looking forward to seeing when all is eventually revealed. The guys don’t want to rush anything and do something half-arsed, if you know what I mean, so we need to have a little patience and let them get on with it.

The down time we’ve seen on the site and blog over the last week or so have nothing to do with this either. The blog was down initially due to a bug that needed fixing, and the site was down for a little while yesterday because the guys in the office found a problem with the content delivery that needed an urgent fix.

So, there’s some of the gossip, and a little teasing about what’s coming for the fans. You guys know you can still all chat away on the site under all of the videos and the galleries, and here on the blog too. I’m always interested in seeing what you guys have to say, so if you feel compelled to comment on a post here and there, please do ;)

Staxus Gossip: Blog Down Time

Yeah, you might have noticed that the Staxus Blog was down for a long time yesterday. I came here to tell you all about the new scene on the Staxus site and share some great pics with you, and I found that it was off-line. It seems that there was an issue with the server that needed some attention, and it was only the blog that was down. The Staxus site itself was still up, so we got the chance to enjoy the new video.

I know the guys in the office are always looking at ways to make sure that everything stays up and running for the fans all the time, so I know they were pulling their hair out yesterday trying to work out what went wrong. They do work so hard, bless em!

But we’re back now, and the guys are still looking into putting in place some measures to make sure that it doesn’t happen again. I guess there will always be little things that are out of their control, and they do a great job of making sure things come back on-line on the rare occasions that something goes a little loopy.

Well done to the guys at Staxus for working so hard. I think I speak for all when I say that we really appreciate all the hard work they put in to creating such a great site.

Staxus Gossip: The Dangers Of Being A Camera Man

It’s been a little while since we had a Staxus Gossip post on the blog, so I thought I would share a little gem with you guys today and perhaps offer a little insight into the way things go on set, specifically when it comes to some of the dangers a cameraman faces in the course of his duties ;)

I’ve often wondered to myself which job would be the best one to have on a porn shoot, and I think being a cameraman would be one of the most popular choices. I mean, you get to have all the fun of hanging out with a lot of very sexy young guys with their dicks out and on show, but then you also get the chance to be right in there and enjoy the action close up. I think we all imagine that it must be one of the best jobs in the world, but after talking to one of the camera guys today I discovered that there are a few pitfalls that I never considered.

First of all, because you’re right in there filming all the action, you have a lot of responsibility to get it right. Without you there is no video, so the pressure to make sure everything is working as it should is quite high. I think every cameraman has probably had that gut wrenching moment when they look back over a shoot and discover they missed something important, like a cum shot.

Something else I never considered is that you are in the firing line for toys and clothes – and belt buckles or even big dildos don’t only hurt, they can damage equipment too. Imagine you’re right in there filming some close up action when a dildo comes flying in your direction, abandoned on cue by a performer, but you happened to be in the way to get the bulbous end right in the eye! lol

Of course, one of the biggest risks is the cum splash. I don’t think many of you guys would mind that (I wouldn’t either) but not all the camera guys in porn are actually gay, or even bi, so looking through that viewfinder to see a cock spraying cum in your direction is not always a welcome thing. I guess they must get used to it and know when to move out of the way most of the time, but jizz shots can be pretty unpredictable and being splashed in the face is a real risk ;)

So, there you go, a few things to think about when you’re imagining how hot it would be to be a cameraman on a Staxus porn shoot. I don’t think these things would dissuade many of you from wanting to do it though, right? No, I still would lol

Staxus Gossip: We Need More Fans!

And no, before you say it, that’s not fans to adore the boys and the studio (there are so many fans already in that regard, although we’re always happy about getting more! lol) No, we’re talking about blowy, windy, cooling fans!

I know I’m not alone in this, there are several places in Europe experiencing some extreme temperatures right about now, and the UK is having something of a heatwave. I’ve been sat here in a pool of my own sweat for a week now, at least – but this time not from feverishly wanking over the Staxus scenes ;)

Apparently, according to my sources in the UK side of things, some of the boys were on a set this week and had to take a long break to go hunting for some fans to plug in and try to keep things cool while filming was going on. And if you’ve tried to buy fans in the middle of a heatwave, it’s not so easy. Plenty of places have been selling out.

There’s another problem with the hot weather too, something that ice and fans can’t really fix… low hanging balls! Seriously guys, you know what I’m talking about. When the weather gets this hot, balls start to really sag, and in filming that can actually cause a couple of interesting problems too.

Lets hope the weather across Europe doesn’t affect filming too much ;)
