Great idea – I will talk to the production team and start having a raw, unedited alternative soundtrack together with the edited one so that people may choose.

I believe the vast majority prefer the movie edited, but there are quite a few that want to hear the director instructions and so on.

I’ll see what I can do to get it from our next in-production DVD forward.

Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe the majority of your customers will prefer the dubbed synchro.

But this should be no problem, no risk at all: since there will be no further expenses for you. Just release every DVD alternatively with the original live sound – and with a dubbed soundtrack, too.

Every mainstream movie, every motion picture from Hollywood contains at least four different tracks of tongue. And in most cases the first and original – native speaking – track outshines all the additional dubbings.

So this could be a historic chance for the Staxus Stable – since the other big names in the business: William Higgins, Falcon, Kristen Bjorn, Belami, Ayor, Eurocreme Cadinot & Co. – did not care so far and prefer spoiling most of their their releases with unnatural, stilted sounds….

Well we try to do a blend between the two. Recently we use very soft music and only during the intro of the scene. Otherwise we sometimes use chilling & moody background effects such as the sound of rain.

I personally was never a fan of Vlado Ireschs’s choice to use cheap techno music and have it during the full scene. I prefer the way John does the new editing, with soft intros and then let the model moaning do the rest.

I can’t express any opinion regarding other studios because it wouldn’t be fair and ethical but I do like the new approach John takes with directing and editing our Staxus scenes.

But Motzki just gave me a brilliant idea! I will ask John to send me a raw, unedited scene where you can hear his voice and direction in the background and will release it together with the edited version.

Pure live sound is very rare in gayporn. Even the more subtle & realistic scenes are often dubbed.

Personally, I think that original live sound is always hotter than every dubbing. Therefore every DVD release should contain alternative tracks: the real deal with all the director’s instructions & commands, with the true screams and whispers of the models on the set; and alternatively a dubbed synchro for viewers who prefer music and/or monotonous moaning…

This is not so much a Staxus problem. But, as already written, for example nearly every Belami movie from Bratislava released in the past five years – is poisoned by improper, stilted, insensitive & annoying noises…. :(

After the directing and editing has improved – not so many camera moves, close-ups & cuts anymore – there is one thing left, which John Smith could learn from the English Staxus director Michael Burling, and from two other gifted directors in the gayporn business: from the dead Bryan Kocis (of the American Cobra studio) , and from the retired Peter Z. Pan from PZP Productions (check out his titles ‘Oliver Twink’ and ”Twinks Finally 18′).

These three director’s have noticed the importance of faces and tried always to capture the emotions of the models as natural as possible during the fucking and in the moment of them climaxing; their scenes end rarely with the stereotype finish of so many other productions: focussing on the shooting alone (mostly in the face of another model). Instead their cameras catch the shooting in combination with the facial expressions of the climaxing model in the very moment of his orgasm.

This separates the good from the better movies, in my opinion.

And therefore – in combination with major flaws like exaggerated editing and far too many camera moves – I call the works of the inferior producers /directors Max Lincoln & Marc Reardon (Eurocreme England), Lukas Ridgeston (Belami), Rolf Hammerschmidt (Hammer/Vimpex), Michael Paris (eboys), Alex Clark (Dolphin), Nir Rosenbaum (SEVP) & Marcel Bruckman (Man’s Art/XY) alltogether crap to forget.

Mostly the pretty models working for this insensitive studios & directors are totally wasted…. *grumble*

And I believe we’ve done the best we could do lately, we always check for socks off, clean feet etc. :)
